Organic Camelina Sea Buckthorn Oil Cold-pressed from Camelina seeds and Sea Buckthorn. Camelina contains 39% Omega-3 fatty acids. 54% of the fats in the oil are polyunsaturated. Sea buckthorn oil’s Omega-7 fatty acids and vitamins are essential for skin and mucous membrane well-being. In 2020, a study conducted at the University of Eastern Finland showed that camelina oil reduces the formation of fatty acid derivatives that are potentially harmful to cardiovascular health. In addition, Camelina oil also seems to protect the body from oxidative stress. It is suitable for all modes of food preparation.
The oil is obtained from the seeds of the Camelina (Camelina sativa L. Crantz.) and grown in Finland using the cold-press method. Greenfinn’s camelina oil contains 39% alpha-linolenic acid, which belongs to Omega 3 fatty acids (about 80 times more than in olive oil) and 15% linoleic acid, which belongs to Omega 6 fatty acids.
The oil as it is is suitable for all kinds of preparation, such as garnishing cooked vegetables, fish dishes, cooking, baking and as a salad dressing. Thanks to its natural antioxidants, it keeps for a long time and resists heating and frying well.
